Demi The Daredevil... who are you?

Demi the Daredevil, Jeff Azar, songwriter. Drums. Keys. Programming.

Where are you from? Austin, Texas

How would you describe your music?

Alternative Pop, Emo, Dark Cabaret

Who is your main inspiration?

The Used, Green Day

Which bits come first when you write your songs?

Beats made with my mouth and I record those into the phone. Then match them with certain chord progressions I love and then the song kind of just makes itself.

What made you want to start in music?

My dad and brother played piano. It was kind of a musical household so they just kinda set up a drum lesson for me. But it’s not totally a “I was raised in a perfect environment” situation. No one really supported the rock music route. Except my mom let us play in the garage.

What is on the horizon for you?

A choose your own track album. Getting songs in TV and film. Growing the fan base community. And maybe even a record deal if it comes to that. The most important thing is building the Demi community.

Who would you most like to collaborate with (alive or dead)?

Even though I love a lot of bands, especially those I idolized growing up, I still feel like I wouldn’t enjoy making a song with them. It doesn’t seem fun to me. But if I had to pick, maybe Billie Joe Armstrong.

What is your ultimate goal?

Wake up and create and play music 'til I go to the grave.

If you could cover any song, what would it be?

If I could pull it off, it may be Total Eclipse Of The Heart.

Tell us your funniest joke!

OMG I only have dad jokes or crass jokes. The funniest joke to me is seeing a video of a dad dressed as Sloth from Goonies and disgusting his kid.
