Basement Club "Back There"

Basement Club return with their brand new single “Back There”

Basement Club are a Wiltshire born 5 piece currently based in Guildford, Surrey. They made their appearance in early 2018 with their debut single ‘Florence’ and have moved from strength to strength ever since, even having recently supported The Sherlocks.

‘Back There’ is about self-doubt and being misled," says lead guitarist Will Toogood, "using the memories you hold dearest to escape reality. This one’s for anyone who’s felt as if they’re not good enough and who are constantly second-guessing themselves. It came about when we were sitting in a stairwell at rehearsal with the chorus line stuck in our heads. We wanted to write an upbeat tune that would get people moving while still exploring the complexities of relationships in our usual way.

Upbeat it most certainly is. Guaranteed to get your toes tapping, the song gets straight to the point and delivers a slick, pop guitar riff which is quickly joined by the contemporary vocals which deliver that familiar message of self doubt, before crashing into that unforgettable chorus.

Basement Club are certainly ones to watch - you only have to listen to the recent singles "Talk" and "Late Night Feeling" to see how they're maturing into a very credible band.

You can catch the band live:

28 March - The Louisiana, Bristol

2 April - Hope & Anchor, London

11 April - The Victoria, Swindon (Vicfest)

5 June - Broadstone Festival, Staunton

6 June - The Wedgewood Rooms, Portsmouth (Golden Touch Festival)
