New Music: Nomina "Fetish Daddy"

“Fetish Daddy,” is the latest hit track of the upcoming debut album by Germany-based Nomina, the official ambassador of the "United Nations World Peace - Berlin “ representing Germany internationally.

Fetish Daddy is a powerful song that deals with a very delicate topic in a subversively, light-hearted manner. It’s a song which is easily relatable for people from all walks of life, fun and enjoyable, on the surface, but on a deeper level, it explores themes which are thought-provoking and deeply meaningful.

The lyrics tackle the poignant theme of sexual violence around the world, highlighting an issue which affects around 15 Million* young girls, often silent victims, who do not report their cases and never seek help. The song manages to package these hard questions within a catchy, upbeat single which also deals with love, peace, protection and the wish to live a happy life without any intruders - something that anyone in this world should be entitled to.

In addition to the edgy content of the lyrics and the song’s meaning, this release is also quite distinctive because of the sheer quality of the production. The track is melodic and catchy to its core, featuring elements of Afro-beat, pop, and reggae. The mix is balanced and detail-oriented, making for a lively, current and strong sonic approach.

Nomina is a child of Botswana born in Zimbabwe. She grew up in a family of five children in Gaborone, Botswana and had to learn, very early on in her life, to survive without her parents. Today she lives in Germany, where she began her music career after finishing a business studies degree. With her first singles "Mamaland" (2016) and "Don't Cry Africa" (2017), she gained millions of fans, particularly in Africa and in her homeland, where her music is played on the radio and on TV.
