Artist of the Day - Reaven (8 July)

Today's Artist of the Day comes in the form of four-piece Reaven and we asked lead singer and guitarist Roméo some of our probing questions...

Introduce us to Reaven?

"Reaven are Roméo (Lead Singer, Guitarist), Vince (Drummer, Backing Vocals), Rudy (Bassist, Backing Vocals) and François (Keyboards, Backing Vocals)"

Where are you based?

"In France, Paris & Troyes."

What genre would you describe Reaven as?

"Pop/Rock/Electro"

Who is your main inspiration?

"All the 60’s period (The Beatles etc)"

What is your songwriting process?

“I don’t have a precise creative process to create music. Most of the time, it comes to my mind out of nowhere. Days, and nights. I have a melody in my head or the instrumental parts, sometimes both. So I take my piano or my guitar and I start playing it. Inspiration is everywhere for me. In my feelings, in my observation of the world or society, in the past, in my memories. Or just when I see something that inspires me at one moment.”

What made you want to start in music?

“I’ve been growing with sisters and my father playing some instruments, so I always wanted to play. And as long as I can remember I’ve always been playing music!”

What is on the horizon for you?

“A new album to release called “For Tomorrow” and also our tours to reschedule for 2021.”

Who would you most like to collaborate with (alive or dead)?

“The Beatles, Queen, Coldplay, Kings of Leon…”

What is your ultimate goal?

“To make a world tour with Reaven”

If you could cover any song, what would it be?

“The song “Because” from The Beatles”

Where do you stand on the tea-making debate? Is it milk first or last?

"Last of course!!"

Tell us your funniest joke!

“Not the funniest one but the one I just saw posted few minutes ago: “I threw a boomerang a few years ago. I now live in constant fear.”
