Hang on to your socks because things are about to get very loud, as we say hello to Vital Noise, our Artist of the Day.
Introduce us to Vital Noise?
Hi, we are rock band Vital Noise, from Los Angeles, California. We're Andrew Wilmot (lead vocals, guitar) and Preston Wilmot (bass, programming)
Who is your main inspiration?
We have many different inspirations from multiple different genres. Some of these include: Slipknot, Bring Me the Horizon, Queen, Post Malone, The Weeknd, and Travis Scott.
How do you write your music?
Typically we will come up with some sort of melody, whether it be a vocal melody, or a riff. We then kinda jam around that particular idea, and base a song around it.
What made you want to start in music?
We both got into playing very young. We are brothers, and our parents would always have music playing around the house when we were growing up. We both really gravitated towards music, and it inspired us to pick up our perspective instruments at a young age, and we have been playing ever since.
What is on the horizon for you?
Right now we are currently working on new music, which we plan to release soon, so stay on the lookout!
Who would you most like to collaborate with?
Probably Freddie Mercury. He was such a musical genius and an amazing front man. It would be absolutely incredible to work with him if he was still alive.
What is your ultimate goal?
Our ultimate goal is to get our music out there and be heard by as many people as possible.
If you could cover any song, what would it be?
That’s a really tough one... probably “Kashmir” by Led Zeppelin. That’s such an amazing song.
Tea making: milk first or last?
Last.
Tell us your funniest joke!
“What is the greatest lie you ever told?”
“I don’t tell lies”... see what I did there hahaha!
