By Devices release their debut single "Police The Police"

By Devices are a five piece band from Birmingham. Formed out of a passion for live music. They strive to create powerful melodic songs that get more than just your foot tapping. 

Full of venom and melancholy, the band's sound may not be your typical mainstream but indie and rock vibes are sewn through every track they write. 

Calling on such influences as We are Scientists, The Killers, Bloc Party and some good old classics like The Cure and The Smiths. 

By Devices try to mix sounds and genres to create a vibe that lends itself to live performance. With experience of gigging around the country in some of the most iconic venues and more recently getting several of their tracks from their March 2019 released "Backhands and Contraband" played on BBC introducing West Midlands and BBC introducing Coventry and a slot on YouTube channel Raw Sound TV. After recording with Gavin Monaghan at Magic Garden Studios in late July 2019, things are starting to gain momentum for this Birmingham based indie/rock band.
