The last few years have seen DEF NEON deliver their energetic brand of genre-hopping mayhem to wowed audiences at countless events and festivals across the U.K, sharing stages with the likes of 65daysofstatic, The Orb, Death In Vegas, Peter Hook, Pop Will Eat Itself and The Birthday Massacre.
New single Just Do It has become a live favourite over the last year and has been heavily championed at BBC Introducing, serving as a taster for the band’s upcoming sophomore album, War Beats.
DEF NEON have taken the raw and raucous spirit of their live performances and captured it in the studio. Just Do It is sure to whet the appetites of fans awaiting new material from the band, as well as serving as a powerful and persuasive calling card for those who are new to their distinctive sound.
The song was inspired in part by the famous Shia LaBoeuf video, but also by the band’s determination and drive. Just like their ever-increasing profile, is a tribute to how hard work, sheer talent and self-belief can help us achieve our goals.
Just Do It is released digitally on the 20th of September by AnalogueTrash, alongside a neon-filled, DIY music video which the band directed, filmed and edited themselves.
While we wait for the new single and video to land, familiarise yourself with the sound of Def Neon with their incredible electro pop tune "Rotoscope"
