I don't think it's a bad thing when I say that Dirty Laces remind me of Oasis. After all, the five piece rock outfit also hail from Manchester. But lead singer Charlie Jordan's voice does have that Gallagher tone and the band definitely emulate that uptempo arrogance that you might hear from the Oasis lads.
And of course, Dirty Laces does rhyme with Oasis. But we'll let that one slide.
They're a very tight group, the sound is clean and current and the songs are catchy.
What's not to like?
"Back Of The Line" was released on 12th July and it's a classy piece of hyperactive rock. Pounding drums and energetic bassline are perfectly intertwined with screaming guitar licks and punctuated by vocals that graciously give enough breaks to allow the music to step to the forefront and demonstrate the talents of each band member.
"Back of the Line is about escaping the mundane,” according to the band’s bassist, Tom Edwards. “Getting away from ordinary day-to-day life, conformity, and searching for something that allows you to express yourself. To find a sense of freedom and autonomy… new ventures, a lust for life. It’s very forward-thinking and positive."
