Friday Five!

Updated: Nov 21, 2020

Another dip into our inbox has provided a veritable smorgasbord of excellent music for your listening pleasure!

Steven Faulkner "The Man You Deserve"

A great way to start our round-up! A gentle indie-folk style song that has a real feel-good vibe about it, although watch out for dark undertones when a sprinkling of heavier guitars raise their heads.

Our rating: 8.7/10

Ryan Martin "Dry"

A very definite nod to classic rock here, some big guitar riffs and raspy vocals will certainly pique the attention of any discerning rock fan.

Our rating: 8.6/10

The Clockworks "Enough Is Never Enough"

Punk rock at it's finest, as The Clockworks deliver a seething swipe at our fractured society, bringing together stories of various intertwined characters in glorious technicolour.

Our rating: 8.9/10

j.pastel "Strawberry Lemonade"

A track that's so laid back, it's practically horizontal! A simple combination of instruments set out a chilled yet summery vibe, topped with familiar j.pastel airy vocals make this the ideal song to close your eyes and visualise the romance summers gone by

Our rating: 8.9/10

Great Park Avenue "Au Revoir"

A spot of indie rock to round off this week's collection. It's a delightful sound that takes you back to the golden days of brit pop. With traces of Muse in the vocals and a driving drum beat that wouldn't be out of place on a doves album, Au Revoir is a very tasty little track, and is our song of the week.

Our rating: 9.2/10
