Get ready for Crystal Tides

Crystal Tides are set to release their new single ‘Deserter’ on 22nd November 2019 across all digital platforms.

Someone didn't get the "Back T-shirts Photoshoot" memo

Crystal Tides are a four-piece Indie Rock band based on the South coast of England, who take influence from classic noughties guitar riffs and modern feel-good pop melodies. They took their name from the crystal waters off the coast of Portsmouth, their home town. “We wanted our upbringings and where we are from to be reflected in our name, being born in a coastal city like Portsmouth, it just felt right to us to be called Crystal Tides."

The band have built momentum following the release of several successful singles and have sold out multiple shows in their hometown of Portsmouth and also in London.

The band are George Regan (bass), Sam Pennington (drums), Harry Knowles (lead guitar), and Billy Gregory (rhythm guitar and vocals). They have a sound influenced by the likes of The Wombats or Foals and the new single shows these influences clearly. A demonstration of vocal acrobatics in the chorus and an energetic musical track throughout delivers a perfect pop song which would easily dovetail into any contemporary chart.

The uplifting feel of the song belies the subject matter, which is written about a former band member and close friend of the band who left without explanation, cutting all ties with the band. The lyrics pull no punches, absolutely nothing is held back - except maybe a few expletives that perhaps would make the song more sneering that bouncy!

You're going to have to wait a bit longer to hear Deserter in all it's finery but why not familiarise yourself with the guys and their sound by watching the video to "On And Off" below... and we hope to bring you Deserter very soon
