new music for august

Ah, August... typically the quietest month of the year for artists. Or maybe I just made that up. If it's not, then it should be...

However, were that to be true, then this August would certainly buck that trend because our inbox is simply throbbing with new music that we just have to share with you. You're welcome!

Wunderhorse "Teal"

Jacob Slater, former frontman of The Dead Pretties, continues his journey with new project Wunderhorse and the brand new single, Teal.

If you've ever tried running down a hill faster than your legs can take you, you'll understand how it feels to listen to Teal, a fast-paced, urgent rock tune that is every bit as cool as it is chaotic!

Our rating: 9.1/10

Le Junk "Bad Stuff"

An eclectic mix of electronic elements and an alt pop theme breathes life into this insanely catchy tune, Bad Stuff, from emerging London multi-instrumentalist Le Junk.

The song is about addiction and the party animal persona that people may use to make their underlying trouble.

Our rating: 8.9/10

Solar Eyes "Naked Monkey On A Spaceship"

With a song title like Naked Monkey On A Spaceship, you just know that you're going to hear something a bit different.

Solar Eyes are Birmingham based trio of Glenn Smyth, Tom Ford & Sebastian Maynard-Francis.

Psychedelic rock pop, this song has a very 90s feel to it with distorted vocals and guitar aplenty, creating an infectious earworm of a tune that we're sure you're going to love

Our rating: 9.2/10
