Runaway with Maggie Cassidy

After a hard day's photoshoot, the boys decided it was time for an ice cream

Maggie Cassidy are a pop-rock quintet hailing from the United Kingdom. Formed in 2018 and named after a Jack Kerouac novel, this group plans to introduce intelligent “dirty pop” to mainstream audiences. After releasing three successful singles, Maggie Cassidy are taking on the world with their new track ‘Runaway’.

They are Jamie, Peter, Jack, Tom and Jan from Guildford. They have a sound of Fall Out Boy or Panic! At The Disco or The Maine.

Runaway has stonking, huge vocals and whopping harmonies, all backed up by an incredibly tight and perfect soundtrack. The lyrics tell a tale of hope and optimism. The chorus does exactly as it should, it sticks in your head and trust me, you'll be singing this one for months. It's hard to believe that they've had such a short time together, the whole song sounds well crafted.

And my daughter loves 'em, which, trust me, is a major achievement!

“’Runaway’ is about creating a space of your own with someone that you love away from the noise and business of modern life. It’s about shutting out the world and focusing on what matters. This song represents what Maggie Cassidy is about – escapism and community.”

The band offers a fan-focused and community approach to their music setting them apart from their contemporaries. The upcoming single ‘Runaway’ was produced by Neil Kennedy (Creeper, Boston Manor) blending the dysphoric pop tracks with filthy guitar and infectious hooks.
