Neverlanded are a three-piece alternative rock band from north London, England. Its members are Pete Bloom (vocals, guitar), Niki Jester (bass, guitars, vocals) and Jaca Freer (drums, vocals). They began as an online project in 2017 and released two singles, “Brainsane” and “iWonder”.
Their debut EP “F.U.U” is personal to them. Their songs are a diary of their experiences on life and death, mental health issues, homelessness, and other issues they've been through. Musically, they are influenced by bands such as Placebo, L7, Silverchair, Garbage and Nirvana. Their lyrics are dark. The guitars are heavy. You can expect some serious headbanging at their shows.
Neverlanded are proud supporters of MermaidsUK. The charity supports children, young people and their families to achieve a happier life in the face of adversity. They work to raise awareness about gender nonconformity in children and young people amongst the general public. They campaign for the recognition of gender dysphoria in young people and lobby for improvements in professional services.
The band say that their ambition is to join forces with as many artists on stage and everyone off stage, raising awareness about issues that cripple our society. Following a "United we stand" ethos, they support anyone out there who suffers any sort of abuse or illness.
If you’d like to support Mermaids, donations are welcomed and, as a thank you, you will receive Neverlanded’s music for free. Visit www.neverlanded.com for more details.
